Hartanti is mature, adaptable, and eager to learn according to her employer’s requirements. She is divorced (about three years ago, before she started working in Malaysia) and does not have children nor plans to remarry.
In Malaysia, she picked up Chinese while caring for an elderly grandfather who could not speak Malay or English. As a result, she can now communicate in both English and Chinese. She also enjoys cooking and has learned many Chinese dishes from the grandmother in her previous employment.
Both her parents are in good health and are cared for by her brother in Indonesia. Hartanti’s goal is to work in Singapore for at least five years, as she hopes to save enough to build her own house back in Indonesia.
